Award-winning singer, fiddler, and songwriter Lily Henley brings JFest the heartbeat of Sephardic Jewish music, highlighting the Ladino language, which blends old Spanish and Hebrew with touches of Arabic, Turkish, and Persian. Henley’s newly-penned songs and melodies are a reclamation and contribution. With a repertoire that encompasses both her Sephardi musical lineage and a wide range of influences from across the folk world, Henley weaves ancient and modern languages, cultures, and styles in concert, revealing their interconnectedness—and ours. Henley will perform alongside award-winning multi-instrumentalist Duncan Wickel.
