A Classy Broad - Film with Q&A

You may not know her name but you definitely know her films! In 1974 Marcia Nasatir made history by becoming the first woman vice president at United Artists. Marcia championed films that have become American classics--One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Rocky, Carrie, Coming Home, Apocalypse Now and The Big Chill. A Classy Broad – Marcia’s Adventures in Hollywood tells the story of how this Jewish girl from San Antonio, Texas shattered Hollywood's glass ceiling by trailblazing, fighting and outwitting her detractors all the way to the top.

The film by Anne Goursaud stars a treasure trove of talent including Robert Towne, Glenn Close, Rob Cohen, Lucy Fisher, Lorenzo Semple Jr., Mike Medavoy, Tony Bill, Lawrence Kasdan, Daniel Petrie Jr., Dorothea Petrie, Tommy Swerdlow and John Dean.

Following the film enjoy a lively Q & A Talkback with Marcia Nasatir, the “classy broad” herself along with director, Anne Goursaud.

“Her story, engagingly chronicled by Goursaud, should entertain and inspire a new generation of women who refuse to be stymied by the status quo.”
