Sephardi/Mizrahi Jewry have a rich history in areas throughout the Mediterranean. In all parts of culture (language, philosophy and food) Jews have absorbed and expressed Jewish life in similar and unique ways. This presentation will connect the music and culture of Sephardi/Mizrahi Jewry through liturgical music, with audio and video examples to illustrate the interesting sonic world of Sephardic/Mizrahi life.
